About Us Ultimately Achieving Business Success: John Mike Shannon, contractor and owner of Quality Construction and Design, has been in the building and construction industry for over thirty years. Mike is licensed in Florida as a building contractor, and licensed in Mississippi as a residential builder. Quality Construction and Design, QCD, was established in 2001 to provide both residential and commercial building and remodeling services. Prior to establishing QCD, Mike owned and operated JMS Services of Tallahassee for eleven years, which specialized in framing and trim carpentry services. Before that, Mike maintained commercial properties in the Tallahassee area for approximately ten years, as well as partnered in an array of commercial joint enterprises. His knowledge is extensive; his customer service is exemplary. Our philosophy for business is to build affordable projects with unexpected quality. Our ability to accomplish this goal stems from using construction disciplines, which yield consistent and affordable structures without compromising on the quality of building materials, labor or finished product. As the contractor, QCD understands the importance of bringing together the right team of skilled labor. Mike has cultivated exceptional relationships with installers and subcontractors for every phase of construction. Quality workmanship is accomplished with the use of precise construction standards, as well as reputable, experienced subcontractors for all phases of construction. Subcontractors are held accountable for their work even after its completion. We work individually with each client from the initial sale to the certificate of occupancy.
